Cruise with a Cause 2007

Hi Everyone!

I haven't had much time to write lately with my move and all, but I wanted to make sure I shared some pictures of my cruise to the Bahamas with you. This was no ordinary cruise - it was a cruise with a purpose. Our mission was to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the island of Nassau, Bahamas. The government was very supportive of us and made it possible for us to go into every public school on the island to share Jesus with the kids.

While on the ship, there were numerous concerts with speakers such as Josh McDowell and wrestling superstar, Steve Bordon aka "Sting". There were also concerts by Nicole C. Mullen, T-Bone, Hawk Nelson, The Crabb Family, Aaron Shust, Sonic Flood and more.

When we arrived in Nassau, we were all given different ministry assignments. Some hopped in buses that took them to the schools, some went to the prisons, and we were part of the group assigned to street witnessing. We passed out tracks and invited people to the Bahama Fest we were having that evening. At the Bahama fest, many of the Christian artists who were with us put on a free concert, and several speakers shared how God set them free from a life of sin and changed their lives. There were thousands of Bahamians that showed up at the event that night, and over 4100 prayed to receive Christ! Praise the Lord!!! Many churches will be reaching out to these people, so please pray for continued growth for those who invited Christ into their lives.

I have some video footage of the trip, but I am having some technical difficulties downloading it. In the meantime, here are some of the pics we took...

God Gave Me Fireworks!

Sorry Everyone...I have been a bad blogger! I have been so busy the past week packing for a big move, a trip to the Bahamas and more! I have not had much time to sleep let alone write on my blog! I did however want to share something special that God did for me this week. As you know, I recently sold my home, and I have to move out on the 9th. I will be in the Bahamas until then, so everything had to be packed before my trip. I have mixed emotions about moving as I am happy that it sold, but I am sad that I am having to move. My condo had a beautiful view of the Bay overlooking the St Pete Pier in Downtown St Pete. I could watch fireworks on the 4th of July and New Year's right from my own balcony. As I was staring out my window the other day just thinking of all the amazing things that God has done in my life the past few years while I have lived in that condo, I began to get a little emotional. I told God that it would be so cool if He could give me fireworks just one more time to watch from my balcony my last night there. Yesterday, my mom came over to help me pack and without her knowledge of what I had asked of God, she told me that she had heard that there were going to be fireworks that night! I couldn't believe it! As I move forward into this next season of my life with so many unknowns, it was so encouraging to have God answer my prayer so specifically like that! I watched the fireworks last night in awe, not only because of what I was seeing but because of what God had done for me.

God cares about what we care about no matter how small it may be. Out of all the people in the world, He hears us when we call on Him and answers as if we were the only one. I love Psalm 139...

"God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I'm an open book to You; even from a distance, You know what I'm thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of Your sight. You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and You're there, then up ahead and You're there, too—Your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can't take it all in! Is there anyplace I can go to avoid Your Spirit? to be out of Your sight? If I climb to the sky, You're there! If I go underground, You're there! If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon, You'd find me in a minute—You're already there waiting! (Psalm 139:1-10 The Message)
